Designed Journeys
A Designed Journey is an intentional travel experience composed by Spots.
Each journey is a narrative built around a central theme: A deep dive into a city’s character that unfolds in a series of acts. Through a curated sequence of places, people and activities, we offer a cohesive point of view that invites you to move with purpose, leaving space to slow down, observe, and reflect.
You travel independently while we handle the orchestration. Each journey is a fully researched, pre-coordinated itinerary where we select and book your hotels, dining, and experiences in advance. While you move through the "acts" at your own pace, you will encounter the local experts and artisans woven into your story. For additional support, a local guide can be arranged for specific chapters of your trip.
A Designed Journey is a private experience, not a group tour. You travel independently with your own companions, following an itinerary curated by Spots.
These journeys are conceived as whole narratives where each act builds upon the last. While we can accommodate subtle adjustments to suit your rhythm, some core elements remain fixed to maintain the integrity and flow of the original design.
The listed price reflects the estimated total cost, including accommodations, private experiences, and all itinerary arrangements.
Note: Flights, daily meals, and drinks are not included.
Bespoke journeys
While a Designed Journey follows a pre-composed narrative, a Bespoke Journey is built entirely from the ground up. It is a one-of-a-kind itinerary tailored to your specific timing, companions, and travel philosophy.
- The Conversation: We begin with a personal exchange to understand your travel philosophy and what this specific journey calls for.
- The Design: Our team shapes a custom itinerary centered on place, rhythm, and the experiences that matter most to you.
- The Departure: Once the plan is refined, we handle all coordination and reservations, ensuring your journey unfolds seamlessly from start to finish.
Your planning fee covers the end-to-end orchestration of your trip, including:
- Curation of accommodations, dining, and cultural experiences.
- Logistics and strategic pacing for a cohesive flow.
- On-Call Support for adjustments during your trip.
Practical Details
Bespoke Journeys are priced based on the scope and complexity of the curation.
- Planning Fees: Typically range from $500 to $8,000.
- Travel Costs: All direct costs (hotels, tickets, etc.) are paid directly to suppliers for full transparency.
- Ongoing Planning: For clients planning multiple trips, we offer a retainer model that supports travel throughout the year.
To ensure the seamless coordination of our local partners, we follow a three-tier policy:
- Within 24 hours of booking: Full refund (no cancellation fee).
- More than 60 days before departure: 20% cancellation fee.
- Within 60 days of departure: 100% cancellation fee (non-refundable).
