Palazzo Talìa
In the beating heart of Rome, just steps from the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, stands Palazzo Talìa—a meticulously restored 16th-century palazzo infused with modern sensibility and cinematic allure. Once the Collegio Nazareno, an institution of learning with Renaissance roots, the building has been transformed by filmmaker-turned-designer Luca Guadagnino into a living work of art. His design studio reimagined the public spaces—such as the grand Aula Magna, verdant courtyard, shimmering mirrored bar, and subterranean spa—with tactile richness and visual poetry: walls that beckon with plissé leather, blown‑mirror panels, custom rugs, and a monumental Murano‑glass chandelier that glows beneath a vaulted ceiling.
Each of the 26 rooms and suites balances heritage architecture—frescoed ceilings, marble busts, and wood-beamed ceilings—with bespoke modern craftsmanship. Designed by MIA Home Design Gallery and Laura Feroldi Studio, they evoke understated luxury through mouth-blown mirrors, marble, velvet upholstery, and artisanal tiles, while offering contemporary comforts and technology. Dining at Tramae draws on regional Italian influences—Rome, Veneto, and Sorrento—served in an elegant bistro setting with courtyard access, while the adjacent Bar della Musa offers cocktails in a glow of golden tones and frescoed ambiance.
