Arc de Triomphe

This masterpiece of architecture, commissioned by Napoleon I in 1806, is more than just a monument - it's a guardian of history. Its walls bear witness to France's past, inscribed with the names of victorious battles and brave generals from the Revolution and First Empire. Each evening, as the sun sets over Paris, a solemn ceremony takes place as the eternal flame is rekindled at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, keeping alive the memory of those who served. Climb the 284 steps to the observation deck (Ticket required!), and you'll be rewarded with one of Paris's most breathtaking panoramic views—the majestic Champs-Élysées stretches before you like a royal carpet, offering stunning vistas of the city in all directions.
