Jip

Tucked on a quiet corner in the 10th, JIP feels like a secret you’re glad someone let slip. Part natural wine bar, part modern bistro, it offers a short, confident menu that blends comfort and creativity.

Run by Korean-born chef Esu Lee (ex-Mokoloco, Au Passage), the menu subtly nods to his roots — like jajangmyeon-inspired noodles with spinach-anchovy purée and pickled watermelon radish. It’s thoughtful cooking with quiet precision.

The space is intimate, dimly lit, and quietly stylish, with shelves of natural wine and a neighborhood crowd that gives it the feel of a place you’d return to on a weeknight. The staff are warm but unpretentious, happy to walk you through the wine list or recommend a pairing.

Why Go: For a relaxed evening of beautifully cooked small plates and wines you’ll want to write down.
